1.Introduction #

This guide will demonstrate how to integrate a CallRail Phone Pool with your MyMedLeads Account.   The below document will go into the details of what is required and the amount of access that you will need to complete the integration between MyMedLeads and CallRail.   The document will walk you through what is communicated between the two systems.

Intended Audience
This document is designed for staff members or web masters, who have administrative access to CallRail.

2.Required Assets and Access #

This section walks you through all of the items that you will need to complete the integration between CallRail and MyMedLeads.

  • The CallRail WebHook URL From MyMedLeads
  • Your team must select what MML LeadSource will be associated with all calls coming in from CallRail.

For the CallRail Webhook URL, you will need to reach out to our Support Team.  The Support Team will then generate a Webhook URL and then they will advertise it to you to include within the CallRail Webhook Integration.

You and your team can generate a new LeadSource to use within your MyMedLeads Account.  You will simply need to navigate to: Preferences -> Add/Edit LeadSources.  From this page, you can identify the LeadSource you would like to apply to all callers coming in from your CallRail Phone Pool.

3.CallRail Account #

It is required that you login to your CallRail Account, using credentials associated with a User with Administrator Access/Permissions.   You will need to navigate to the Settings Page (when this document was written you would use the left hand navigation and click on the Gear w/Lightning Bolt (labeled/tooltipped “Settings”).  On the settings page, you will see a list of Numbers and Pool of Numbers.    At the top of the page, there will be a brief navigation bar with the links: “Tracking”, “Workflow” and “Integrations”.   Click on “Integrations” and then locate the “Webhooks” integration model.

Within the Webhook Integration Setup page, you will need to copy/paste the URL that the MyMedLeads’ Support Team advertised to you, into the “Pre-Call” Text box.  All other fields can be left blank or with their default values.

Click Update.

4.MyMedLeads Setup #

Within your MyMedLeads Account you will need to setup your CallRail Integration.  After requesting the Webhook URL and receiving it, you should be able to access your CallRail Integration Settings page, by navigating to:  Preferences -> CallRail Setup.   Within this screen, you will be able to set the default CallRail LeadSource and the default Referral Source (ex: Google, Bing, Google Adwords).

MyMedLeads’ LeadSource Setup

Within the CallRail Setup Screen, you can configure the CallRail integration to set different MyMedLeads’ LeadSources (and Referral Sources) to an inbound CallRail call, that contains UTM Data.  If CallRail advertises UTM_Campaign and/or UTM_Medium, then you can set a MyMedLeads’ LeadSource (and Referral Source) to that individual caller.  If you have multiple UTM_Campaigns, then you can set this up so that if “Summer+Botox” comes in as a UTM_Campaign, then that lead will be marked with a specific MyMedLeads’ LeadSource, not necessarily the Default LeadSource at the top of the page.

For static Call Tracking Numbers, such as a Billboard sign, you are able to set the LeadSource for a single Call Tracking Number from CallRail.  You would use the bottom section to set this up.
