Manually Merging Duplicate Leads
Merging 2 duplicate Leads
To merge two accounts within MyMedleads:
- Search for the lead name in question and click on the name (do not select “View All Results”).
- The system will display the duplicate records. In the bottom right, click the “Merge” button to combine the records.
Merging 3 or more duplicate Leads
MyMedLeads can only merge two leads together. To merge more than two MML records or leads/patients (not accounts), follow these steps:
- Identify the lead with the least amount of data (notes, appointments, etc.). Delete this lead as a duplicate, ensuring it has not been converted to/from scheduling system (Nextech, Symplast, DrChrono, PatientNOW).
- Search for the lead name in question and click on the name (not “View All Results”).
- The system will load the duplicate records. In the bottom right, click the “Merge” button to combine them.
When merging in MML, the best practice is to merge the records with the most data. Avoid deleting a record that has already been converted to/from your scheduling system.
If you have two duplicate records in MML that have been converted to/from your scheduling system, this means there is also a duplicate in you scheduling system.
