EMR/EHR/PM Integration Summary
Introduction
This guide will walk you through integrating your Scheduling System with the MyMedLeads System. First, make sure your EMR/EHR is compatible by opening a support ticket or checking the list below. Once confirmed, the steps to integrate are outlined in the following document.
Intended Audience
This help document is intended for staff members who administer their EMR/EHR software. It assumes you have a support contact at the EMR/EHR system who can directly assist you with setting up the necessary communications. Your IT department may also need to be involved, depending on the specific setup requirements.
While the document references terminology from the glossary, staff members do not need to be able to perform or set up any of those functions – just a general understanding of the key terms is sufficient
Setting Up Your Account for EMR Integrations
Your MyMedLeads account comes pre-configured with numerous settings to accommodate your practice’s and staff’s workflows. However, integrating your scheduling software to seamlessly share data with MyMedLeads will likely require some customization to ensure it meets your specific needs.
Mappings
The Scheduling Software you use likely contains a large number of “entities” that correspond to “entities/resources” within MyMedLeads. These “entities/resources” are referenced and used in numerous messages and updates exchanged between the Scheduling Software and MyMedLeads. Examples of such “entities/resources” include Procedures (e.g., Botox, facelift, rhinoplasty), Appointment Types (e.g., Consultations, Minor Procedures, Surgeries, Follow-ups), Locations, and even Doctors.
For MyMedLeads to function properly, a direct mapping between your Scheduling Software and your MyMedLeads account is required. Many of MyMedLeads’ features, including Marketing Campaigns, rely on these mappings being correctly configured. Without the ability to properly read data from your Scheduling Software, unexpected results may occur in various scenarios.
To ensure seamless integration, you will need to communicate the “entities” within your Scheduling Software to MyMedLeads. In some cases, your EMR/EHR team may need to assist, as we may require the Internal IDs from the Scheduling Software.

Data Imports
When first setting up the account, it’s generally a good idea to have the scheduling software communicate all future appointments. This ensures MyMedLeads is aware of upcoming appointments, allowing it to properly send any necessary automated communications.
Similarly, importing the last X months or years of appointment data from the EMR can help populate the MyMedLeads account. This allows MyMedLeads to identify patients who may need to be placed in a recall or post-procedure campaign. However, the ability to import past appointment data depends on the specific capabilities of the EMR/EHR software.

How to Request an Integration with your Scheduling Software
When you sign up for MyMedLeads, we collect extensive data during the sales process to ensure a successful launch of your new account. The data gathered from your team will guide our team on the necessary steps to connect your account to your various systems. To integrate your scheduling software with MyMedLeads, we may need assistance from you and your staff. The following steps describe the integration process.
Nextech – Select/NexCloud/ Practice+
The Nextech software seamlessly integrates with MyMeLeads, making it easy to request an integration. When your account first goes live or when existing clients transition from an EMR/EHR to Nextech, our team will provide a document outlining the process to formally request the integration through Nextech’s Support Portal. Once the integration is complete, Nextech will follow up with the necessary details, typically within a week. Our staff can then perform the integration on your behalf directly within your account.
Additionally, your team has the ability to access past and future appointments from Nextech using our screens – a one-time setup process.
