Website Integration: Email Mapping Solution
Introduction
The MyMedLeads Platform integrates with a wide range of websites. This document outlines one approach for integrating forms with the MyMedLeads Platform. The guide that follows provides details on determining if this is the appropriate way to integrate your site or forms. While a formal integration is always recommended, the email mapping solution described here may be an option if a formal integration is not feasible.
Intended Audience
This document is primarily intended for your marketing and web development teams. While other staff members may find it useful as a reference, it has been specifically created to support your web-focused personnel.
Referring URLs and Keyword Data
The email mapping system does not capture referring URL or keyword data. As a result, if a form is integrated using the Email Mapping Solution, MyMedLeads cannot track the lead’s source, such as Google, Facebook, or Google Ads, or the specific page the visitor completed the form on. (In contrast, formal API integrations do provide this data, so formal integration is recommended whenever possible.)
Email Deliverability Disclaimer
The MyMedLeads Platform receives thousands of emails daily, and we maintain our email reputation to ensure reliable delivery. When integrating with the MyMedLeads Platform using the Email Mapping Solution, it’s important to note that the application sending the email to our servers is responsible for ensuring its delivery. MyMedLeads cannot be held liable for emails that were not received by our server(s).
To allow for consistent email delivery, the sending application/service must maintain a good online reputation, structure the emails correctly, and avoid SPAM-like content. MyMedLeads can safelist specific domains or IP addresses upon request to help facilitate email delivery from your application to our servers.
Is Email Mapper The Right Way To Integrate
The Email Mapping Solution is typically used for integrating with forms, websites, landing pages, or directory profiles when your team lacks the ability to update the underlying code. Some examples of appropriate use cases are provided below, though this list is not exhaustive. As a general rule, if your team does not control the source code of the site or form you need to integrate with, the Email Mapping Solution is likely the best integration model to use.
Directory Websites:
Realself.com
ASPS Site
Coolsculpting.com
Zwivel.com
Third Party Form Builders:
TypeForms
ClickFunnels
Landing Page Builders:
Unbounce
HubSpot
InstaPage
SquareSpace
Chat Software
Apex Chat
tawk.to
Notable Exceptions
Facebook Ads should be integrated using Zapier, when available.
JotForms’ Email Delivery has been a known issue. We recommend replacing JotForms with forms that can be integrated via the API.
Hubspot, Unbounce, and Instapage offer integrations via Zapier, which could serve as an alternative to the Email Mapping Solution.
Steps To Integrate
If your website, form, landing page, or profile page is a good fit for integrating with MyMedLeads using the Email Mapping Solution, the steps are straightforward. Typically, the MyMedLeads team will guide you on the best way to integrate your website with the MyMedLeads API. If integration using this model is required, your Account Executive will provide a unique email address specific to your account. You can then use this email address across multiple websites, landing pages, chats, etc., and our system will apply the appropriate Lead Source.
